bream on the wrecks
hi guys & gals, If you live in an area where black beam come into spawn like the solent, if you go wrecking to your local inshore wrecks, at slack water or when the tide has slowed right down it is well worth dropping down with a paternoster rig with 1/0 hooks baited with small squid strips and bouncing it along the wreck we have had some belting bream this way with fish up to 4lbs another option at slack water is to drop a baited pirk down for ling and conger we use small pout or mackerel for bait and again we've had great success, I say this because all too often when slack water comes everybody reaches for the sanis and miss some very good sport.
work is for those who don't know how to fish
