    i am going to butlins in may
    is the fishing anygood around that area.
    if so what tackle should i take.

    should be great fishing there in may.

    i would fish either Selsey or Pagham at night for smoothies and bass.
    if you fish for smoothies then use a ratchet and back off you're drag as the takes can rip you're rod off the rest.
    whole squid or livebait for the bass.or even macky head and guts close in.

    fishing in the day if weather is calm and bright should produce plaice to worm baits at distance.

    is there a pier along there. if so is it worth a go.
    i will probably have 2 kids with me so i need to keep them amused.

    there is a very small pier left after most of it fell into the sea.the fishing is not great off it but there should be plenty of small fish ie pout.

    better off trying the beaches if you can.
