hello another update this time its a good one went to callander caught a 16lb salmon first salmon in ma life wit a fight wis caught on a fly-n-c.
will never forget it still cant sleep lol superb

If you can get your hand's on an Allys' Flying Shrimp (Lureflash make them), they'll work a treat on the Salmon aswell.

This is the first time I have had any opinion on a thread that has riled me into a response.

"Looks a bit coloured" ? Looks very coloured to me. It almost certainly was not returned.

As for "25 lb mainline", well that just sums it up for me. Great. Just like I can imagine the rainbow was captured using 15lb line, size 8 hook and a bubble float the size of a tennis ball, the mackerel on a string of 15 feathers and the brownie a mis-identified coloured salmon caught using a bundle of worms.

"Fish of a lifetime" - probably, but it is also the end of that salmon's lifetime - and a non-starter for the lifetime of several others.

SALMON WAS NOT RETURN FISH WAS SILVER IT WAS NOT RIPE OR COLOURED MAYBE IT WAS THE CAMERA BECAUSE IT WAS TAKEN AT HALF 7 AT NITE JUST AS DARKNESS WAS FALLING AND STU WIT IF I CAUGHT A 30LB PLUS SALMON I WOULD HAVE HAD NO CHANCE THE RAINBOW WAS CAUGHT USING POWER BAIT THE BROWN WAS CAUGHT USING MAGGOTS OF THE BOTTOM THE F****** MACKEREL WAS CAUGHT ON A DEXTER WEDGE IS IT ABIT OF JEALOUSY COMIN OOT STU? CAUSE FOR WAN IF U CAUGHT WIT AVE CAUGHT IN THE LAST 6 MONTH IM QUITE SURE U WIDNY HAVE PUT IT BACK WHATS RONG WITH 25LB MAINLINE? F ALL TO ME?
