Fishing in Western Australia
Hi All
The people interested in coming to WA to fish should have a look at the new TV shows from local fishing celebrity Steve Correia. Some great tips on how to catch Samsonfish, Mahi Mahi, WA Dhufish and lots of others.

Fishing Western Australia
Being fishing for samsons off Freemantle, Western Australia, for some years now. Fantastic fishing and samsons are strong pullers. Caught all samsons by jigging

Well if my daughter stays in oz plan to arrive in oz/Perth Sept 2010.We will have about a week there and I intend to hire a car and explore the area.
What is the shore fishing like?? will bring a couple of rods this time
Any worthwhile charters in the area or any Perth angling forums to join to get more info???

Been going for the past 5 years John, usually Jan or Feb though.
You could try these:http://www.millscharters.com.au/

Both based in :http://www.hillarysboatharbour.com.au/
I've been with Mills about a dozen times & can't fault them.
Plenty of beaches & harbours for you to have a dabble @ aswell.
Hope it helps.FISH SPECIES 2011.

Is Little Trevor still skippering out of Hillarys ?
Heard a rumour he was off to Mandurah. Top boat, top skipper and boy does he work hard for his customers. Also cooks a mean snag and chicken !"I'm not FAT.....I'm HUSKY"

Some great shore fishing to be had up around Yanchep Lagoon. Yanchep is about 1hr drive north of Perth. 15 mins south of Yanchep is Pipidinny Rd. If you've hired a 4wd you can get over some easy dunes n onto the beach. Tailor, sharks, mulloway and yes, sting rays are the mainstay, unless you are just lokking for herring n whiting (to use as bait that night.....).
From Yanchep, 5 mins to the north is Two Rocks. From there you can get back onto some dune tracks and then you've got 100km of beaches (deserted for the most part) to explore. If your going onto the dunes n beaches, dont forget to take a compressor to pump yr tyres back up. The Moore River at Gilderton (35km north of Yanchep) is great for black bream, and if the river has busted thru (rare) some awesome beach fishing to be had.
All the best with it.Good things come to those who bait......
