Brigton charter boat trip report
6 Braintree SAC members fished the first charter boat trip in several years from Brighton on the south coast. With wind speeds of around 10 to 15mph, the boats skipper (Alan) worked hard to find fish. The fishing was with plastic lures such as shads, jellies and eels, but as with fishing wrecks quite a lot of gear was lost after snagging the wreck.
After visiting 6 to 7 wrecks at a distance of up to 30 miles out the best fish was a Pollack of 16lb caught by Colin Crocker. The only other fish caught was another Pollack, which topped the scales at 13lb, and boated by Glynn ThomasI'd rather be fishing
