Mercury 500
Anybody know where I can get a manual for a 50 Merc, I have just got one & it needs a bit of TLC, I cant get it to tilt etc, because the hold-up catch is rusted away, & God knows what it looked like, any addresses or websites would be most welcome, Google gets quite confused when I ask it!

Seem to have manuals available for most outboards.
Whats the exact model and I will see what I can find.
I hope it's sunny the weekend so that I can catch some rays

Merc 500
Thanks Chris, but I have now managed to remove the remains of the mechanism & by a process of logic, sheer brilliance, & guesswork, (all of which came from the fabricator from the next door unit) we have managed to piece together what the original looked like. It is being "sorted" when he gets 5mins.
Managed to get a manual, its coming via Amazon (well done WSF again), all I need now is a set of remotes & some good weather then its look out fish!
