    Boring Wheel 7/11

    Apologies for late posting.

Went to Boring Wheel on Friday and the weather was superb for fly fishing. For those that don't know it Boring Wheeel is one of those fisheries where you usually get your bag limit but it can take anywhere between an hour and 9 hours to do it!

Anyway, I goy my four bag limit of 1 @ 4.5lb and 3 on or around 2.5 lb in about 2 hours.

As usual, they fought really well and made the trip worthwhile (if a little short). Tempted though I was to buy another ticket I resisted the temptation and returned home.

    Regards

    Andy

Well done on your fish mate, is there a reason for the rather unusual name for the fishery?

Yes mate. The name came from the days when there was a mill there powered by the spring. The boring wheel was used to (bore) hollow out the cannons for the navy ships so I am told.
