any one with information on fishing across the channel would be great even french web sites like this one or there version of the sea angler?tight lines

their equivalent of sea angler is "Peche en mer" if you find a magazine shop. something/one to translate may be needed if your lingo isn't too good
if your going in summer you'll have to travel quite a way depending where you are as many beaches are packed.
night fishing is always an option
northern france, expect similar fish to our south coast

I have to say the only French web site I've accessed focuses more on big game fishing, but it does have a chat room and most of the site is provided with English translations. It might be worth posting to or contacting that site, they may well be aware of a more appropriate site.
Alternatively is it worth contacting BASS? I recall that a recent on- line petition regarding commercial lining of breeding stocks of Bass off Jersey attracted a number of French anglers. They may well have contacts with French web sites.
