Portsmouth catch report

Fished the beach just in front of the swimming pool (i think that is what it is). Was pretty awful. I haven't put the rods on E-bay yet, but it is looking likely with every shore trip. Could only muster a small pollack and my fishing partner caught a couple of small pouting and small whiting. Small seems to be the word at the moment. Fished with squid, mackerel and black lug.

February always has been a month that produces very little to write home about in this area, even the boats struggle unless they're going 30-40 miles to the mid channel wrecks, Things normally pick up half way through march and from then on it gets better all the time so maybe a good time to service all your gear and dream of things to come.
