    cairns poor results

Jjust returned from cairns/palm cove. Fishing very dissapointing.Cairns estuary a waste of time and money. we tried three ddep water areas over 4 hours and best fish was a 2lb finger. there after a few barbel then nothing for 3 hours. the pier at palm cove was also unproductive even with moon and tide at best. local comment was too much rain and too many bait fish. general advice was go to outer reef, if you can afford it . I think the outer Islands at fiji are a better bet. off to cape town now. mike miller

'fraid so Mike. This released Black, called '950' which is the skipper's code for might just be a 'grander', was taken in late October.
