Sweden in early February
Hi
I am going to Are in Sweden for a few days at the beginning of February. I think it is a ski resort but I have been offered a chance to go fishing if I want - as of course I do
.
But i've no idea what I have let myself in for !
Does anyone know what king of fishing might be possible in Sweden this time of year.

Ice fishing - excellent !
Does that mean drilling holes in the ice etc. What on earth do you catch ?
That will make a change from blanking at Felixstowe Beach

iam of to shovde(think that's how you spell it ) in Sweden on the 2nd of Feb to meet the girls parents ,apparently Ive entered a competition with her grandfather to do a bit of ice fishing but have been warned the ice might be gone by then so will have to spend the day drinking whisky with the old man instead ,sounds like fun lol
and for anyone that knows me the move to Fjellhamar in Norway is on hold for the moment as the girl is in a rental contract with her landlord which she cant get out of untill April

I have had a look and asked a few questions it looks like Arctic Char are the main fish caught in the Are region using jig lures as well as some sea trout and grayling.
I have also heard some people fish at night to catch burbot using strips of fish.
All looks really good.
