    Australia shop, help!

    Any people in Australia know of a shop where to buy green abu 5500 mag elites cheaply?

    it won't be easy as they are not into multiplier over there.

    i tried with my local tackle shop while i was there in march, they are very helpfull, he rang all the supplier over australia the closest he could get was the rocket.

    There is a gent on this forum that bought some 5500 in Oz, he managed to track the man in question down but he no longer has a shop, just does charter boats now,

    yes i'm back.

    probably the worst fishing year i've in oz in the last 10 i've been going.

    it was very rough almost every day, impossible to fish from the beach, big swells and high wind only the surfers were happy.

    i did manage to go out on charter on the only calm day in 3 weeks and was very good had a 5.5kg snapper and 4 pearl perch up to 2.5 kg.

    other than that, few breams, whiting, moses perch and small tailor from the local beach........oh and one night in the canal behind my inlaws i caught an enormous mud crab, so big had a size 2 hook in all in his mouth.

    At least you caught a couple of good fish, infact any fish is better than a blank

    I would suggest having a look at some British Tackle suppliers there are some fantastic deals available. Factor in the international postage and I am sure you could pick up a great reel for a good price. There are some sellers on Ebay (uk) who will post internationally so give them a shout as well. Good luck in your hunt !
