In addition it's worth looking back at previous posts regarding Cairns in the Australia and New Zealand forum using the site's Search this forum's facility. There're a number where shore fishing are mentioned. So from that forum's 'home page' you'll find the button on the right hand side, towards the top. Click on it and enter Cairns and click, and that will provide you with a list of posts where it is mention.

As well as picking up information, some relating to specific marks it will also identify other forum members who've visited the area. If they don't reply to your request for information - not everyone's looking at the International forums on a day by day basis - you could, if their experience is relevant, contact them using the site's Private Message facility. Click on their nom de plume in the box to the left of their post and it's one of the options.

Just one last thing. Once you're back could you please post a note, good or bad, of your experiences. It will help others visiting that area in the future.
