west midlands
as land locked as you can get.i guess my nearest places are north wales and the bristol channel,both i guess about 1.5 hrs away,any ideas guys ,im a total newbie to sea fishing,but have been a coarse angler for fourty years

Welcome to sea angling! You will soon know the joys of driving for 3 hours and spending a fortune on fuel to catch bugger all! lol!
I would have said the Bristol Channel...upper channel around clevedon should be around 1.5 hours from you down the M5. Fishing not great around there at the moment though!

Same length of journey will see you in S Wales where the Rays and Doggies are now showing. Could always try Perch Rock at New Brighton for Dabs.

its quicker by air
why not go to Birmingham airport and get a flight to Cork. Only 50 minutes and better fishing as well, at least in my humble opinion!!

hi mate im extremley landlocked i live in burton on trent but probably go once a month,if u ever fancy a sesh just let me know and you could join me or i join you etc.i fish wales quite alot ,south wales doing well at mo with dogs and rays,and pembs area isnt bad either with plenty bass coming out.... scarborough doing very well for flatties,catching a dab every cast .... just send me an email or pm or visitor message ryanpdawson@hotmail.com.tight lines mate

cork huh? im a co longford man ,im in ireland three times a year .erin go bragh .ian roberts i drive a pajero 2.8 turbo .not fast but folk move out of the way seeing the beast up their ass lol

i'm in Kidderminster and can do Porthmadog in just over 2 1/2 hrs on a good run and theres plenty of venues around this area you can do north Llyen coast in 3hrs
