We are spending ten days camping in Tasmania in November, out of Hobart, and were wondering where best to spend a couple of days beach fishing (a couple of different spots would be useful).

We are only taking a couple of medium sized telescopic rods and small reels, with the minimum of tackle, so won't be doing any distance casting, any good rock marks might be useful and an idea of what we might catch?

    Cheers

Just a quick post to say thanks for the fishtas link, the guys there are unbelievably helpful, even offering to take us out in their boats, if your going to Tasmania do check that site out.

Interestingly, few fish with baits there, prefering "plastics", we hope to pick up some new techniques that will translate to our waters here in the UK.... watch this space!

The fishing down under is totally different than here, light sinkers and small size 2 hooks, or plastics are the way to go
