The make of my boat
I have been under the impression that my boat was a Picton, a couple of people reckoned it might have been the "Domino" model. Suprise, suprise, going through e-bay (as one does) in the Power Boats section, 11 down on the first page, & I run smack into "Cleavage" in all but name (& condition)!
So what I have is an Icelander, anybody know where they are from? are they still in business? anybody got any information at all that I can work on? Its always useful to put the right maker & model on any insurance or registration documents.

I will stick my neck out and say that neither of these boats is an Icelander, i think yours is definately a Picton.

Oh No!
Dave dont tell me that, just when I thought I had discovered its origins, you throw a bombshell into the mix! The hull shapes are identical, even down to the shape of the transom, the guy has even boarded up the well which I was thinking of doing!
So what are you saying? do you reckon they are both Pictons? neither are Icelanders, whatever they are, they are almost identical hulls, so the plot merely thickens! thanks anyway, the quest continues!

Hi Blueskip
I used to own a Picton. They are quite similar to Icelander's. The main differece I know of between the two is that Picton's have a smooth hull, where as Icelander's have a simulated clinker hull.
Hope this helps

hi blueskip use to fish and spend a lot of time on a 18ft icelander it had a 2 litre ford inboard with a z drive. although it look something like your craft im pretty sure that yours isnt a icelander ours had a full cabin and that made it look quite differant (but i could be wrong !!)
