Coming to jersey the end of march

    Hi all,
Coming to stay in jersey from the 30th march to the 2nd of april. Staying at st helier. Would like to have a day out on a charter. Just wondering if you guys can recommend any? And what species would be targetted for that time of year?

    many thanks

March is a slow time of the year for fishing, you can expect pollack and ling on the wrecks with good chances of double figures. It may still be a bit early for bream but if you manage to go out on the wrecks you will have good fun with fish to over 5lb regulary. May be a chance of big bream inshore i had one of 5lb last march on a inshore reef. Like the bream, its too early for turbot and brill but you have a chance if you go out for them, they are caught at all times of the year.

As for charter boats, there are only 2. The Anna 2, skippered by Tony Heart or the Theseus 2, skippered by David Nuth. They are both respected charter boats and really nice people. There is really no difference between them, it all depends on the day you fish.
