• Only matches fished on SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS will be eligible for the Penn Sea League. ALL open festivals will be accepted and will count as one event only.(weekdays are permitted if consecutive with weekend event)
• All events must be OPEN on the day of the competition. League and series events are permitted as long as all matches are open on the day, NO PAIRS ONLY EVENTS.
• Matches to be organised by a boni fide angling club with public liability insurance.
• A maximum of SIX matches may be held by any one club or match organiser per year. This restriction does not apply to the recognised Federations of clubs. (WFSA, SFSA, IFSA, NWFSAA, etc)
• All Penn League nominated matches with date and details must be sent to Sea Angler Magazine in writing, by post, email or fax TEN WEEKS in advance so they can appear in the magazine fixture list or web site.(Dates etc not accepted by phone) THE CLOSING DATE FOR EVENTS IS August 30th 2009.
• Points will be awarded from January 1st to December 31st 2009. The closing date for 2009 points claims is January 15th 2010. All prizes awarded at the discretion of Sea Angler Magazine.
• 50 anglers are promoted to Division One and 50 demoted to division two at the end of each year. The top 35 in the Premier league attend the final plus the top five in the First Division. Wild card entries to the final are allocated by Sea Angler to include winners of the largest regional events.
• The winner of each month will be awarded a prize, only one prize per angler per year. In the event of a tie the angler with the most number of scores will win. In the case of a tie with one match it will be the largest entry that will win. Only points that appear in the months issue of Sea Angler magazine count for that month’s prize.
• Matches of all types are eligible, heaviest fish, bag weight, and specimen fish. Rovers, pegged and zoned. SHORE EVENTS ONLY.
• Penn status is awarded at the discretion of Sea Angler magazine. Only matches of 40 entries per day plus score section points, max four sections. The top three anglers are excluded from zone points, only the actual zone winners can win zone points. If an angler in the top three wins a zone that zone is void, same with heaviest fish etc.
• Events winners are as decided by the match organisers EXCEPT multi day or festival events which MUST aggregate daily entry numbers and award points for overall top three, section, day winners and biggest fish only.
• Queries and claims for points must be submitted within two months of the event. PLEASE CONTACT THE MATCH ORGANISER FIRST. Sea Angler magazine’s decision is final in all disputes.
• The Penn League is based on a points system, the bigger the entry the more points scored (See sliding scale below).Minimum entry numbers is 10 anglers (NOT 10 PEGS) Events with 40 or more entries will score extra points for zone winners and biggest fish. Day and section winners score the points based on the day entry only. Fraudulent entry numbers could lead to the disqualification of clubs and all competitors involved. THE ANGLERS TOP TEN POINTS SCORES DURING THE YEAR ONLY TO COUNT FOR TOWARDS THEIR TOTAL SCORE.
• Points for biggest fish will be awarded in bag weight events and points for bag weight will be awarded in specimen and biggest fish events, but only if officially included in results.
• Competitors can only score one score per event.

• 1 point is awarded to the winner of events with 10 to 20 entries.
