There are 2 versions the heavy and lite. I have the lite version @14ft nice rod I think the heavy version is more of a rock and kelp rod

The GB3L is a sporting rod with a nice glass tip, fished with one for a few seasons and normally 14' 6". Open beach and travel is its forte, excellent with 150g and stepping up to 6oz ok or lobbing with a 7oz. If 7oz is regularly needed then switch rod for the occasion.

The GB3 is very heavy duty and TC mentioned if I wanted something for Namibia then even the GB3 is too powerful for monster sharks and rays.

What are you going to be using it for?

I agree , have had the GB3 Lite for 4 years, 3x 5'sections, about 14' 4" put together. Deceptively powerful rod, IMHO, but wouldn't want to whack much more than 6oz and bait. Obviously easy to transport. Cheers, R.
