Can anyone tell me what licences etc I would need if I were to charge people to come out fishing on my boat?

You would need a lot of special things on your boat too. And insurance. And an accountant!

. You'll always receive a sensible answer - but a touch of humour goes down well quite often.
Alot depends on what you are wanting to do. Bigfish has given you a link to the MCA website, where I'm sure further details can be found.
But save you the task of looking them up via the link, licenses should include :-
For your vessel
Code of Practise
Stability test
VHF License
For you
select from -RYA - Powerboat Advanced n Day Skipper Theory, Day Skipper Practical & Theory, Offshore Yachtmaster....etc
Basic Sea Survival,
VHF Operators certificate
First Aid
Fire Fighting
Medical CertificateLast edited by Gethyn Owen; 03-03-2006 at 19:53.

been out today with a guy going down that route. (lovely in all that snow-enough to perhaps make him re consider) He has got his boat coded up and done his sea survival radio etc etc. Has got yachtmaster theory and is now working towards advanced commercial powerboat cert.
