Where can I hire a boat trailer?
Does anyone know where you can hire a boat trailer for a day?
Maybe I should have gone to the jumble instead of travelling all the way to Weymouth with my trailer to find a knackered wheel bearing and having to come back without my new boat on Sunday.
Now I am not going to go back with mine without renewing all four bearings and can't get that done by weekend, so anyone know where I could hire a trailer for a semi planning 18 footer?
Help would be appreciated -

Contact a local Trailer repair company, they always sell trailers and often hire out as well, we have one south of Shrewsbury, so there must be one near you.

Seems like a lot of hassle to go through ---- dont understand why you don't fit new bearings , it only takes a few minutes.
Almost as cheap to buy new hubs complete with bearings, just pack with grease and slip them on.Last edited by biker al; 07-03-2006 at 13:54.

Easy if you know what bearings are in the hubs and can take them with you.
If you can get the bearing numbers and / or trailer manufacturer and source the bearings let us know if you want a guide how to replace them.
