Bass in the straights
just wondering, has anyone had any bass in the straights from a boat or othwise?
i'm gonna go for a night/morning session in a few hours, i'l let u know how i get on.

There have been plenty from Dinas Beach. None that I have heard of from the Straits yet.

lol, i'd looked at tht beach before, it looked perfect for bass, so i went back on sat, nice surf, only one other person fishing, who informed me that there hasn't really been any bass off there for years!!!
i hadn't realised the name until left!!! i'm assuming it's dinas dinlle ur on about

yep, supposed to be a 10-3oz come off there last week. I know of a 6 and plenty of schoolies in the last month for sure.

Looks like i'l be giving that go sometime soon then!!!
Does it produce many dab at low water? it looked good for light tacktics.
Oh and didn't get out this morning gona try and catch the low tide this afternoon instead.

Don't shore fish myself but I have had all sorts of flatties off the beach in the boat. Think the shore will fish better at high water as it is very shallow at low water.
