Fishing in Cyprus.

Going on holiday to Cyprus end of May and thinking of packing travel rod and spinning reel. Any one know if there is anything worth fishing for from the coast, if so is it worth packing a box of lures or just some teminal bits and bobs and finding bait when I get there. Also are there charter boats that a trip could be booked on. I'm afraid I dont know the exact location, (I dont book it, only pay for it!!).

You can get Mullet in the harbours - Paphos etc.

You need to treat it like freshwater fishing though, really fine line and small hooks, the locals fish for them with poles.

You can also catch freshwater bass is the reservoirs on the island, which is good fun for a new species - US style jelly worm tactics required.
