    Easter Fishing

Well the easter weekend is nearly here, and the forecast ain't looking to bad either.

So who's planning on getting a line wet this weekend?

If so, where are you hoping to go and what are you planning on catching?

I'm planning on heading towards St Ouens and fishing the sand banks on friday......not quite sure whether to stick a rig down with a macky head and guts or maybe a large sandeel or try a spoon rig with rag and squid for some plaice.....decisions, decisions......

Kind of.......took the Mrs out on Friday:-

a few drifts in St Brelades with plaice rigs......nothing

a few drifts a couple of miles off St Ouens, changed over to running ledger rigs with 3/0s and whole squid and macky fillets - nothing, just kept snagging up all the time - i thought there were supposed to be sandbanks off there?

on the way back we decided to do a few drifts from Noimont back towards St Aubins, as it was a bit early for the marina gate to be open.....i had nothing but the Mrs had two doggies....her first two fish so she was chuffed!!

    I had zip all day!

Popped down the Marina to give the boat a clean on Sunday and noticed two Bass (2lber's) sat under the boat. Of course my reels were at home, so dug out a spool of line and tied on a little spinner and tried handlining for them....one came over for a sniff then shot off
