i know one tip, when casting try and get wind blowing into the direction ure casting so you can get it further, also, im not sure but i think it better if you are against tide

I would say cast with the tide- you are trying to imitate an injured bait fish, and they dont swim against the tide easily. Also, bass will wait around an obstacle for bait to come past in the tide.

I dont think I would plug in St Aubins unless there was a feature, such as rocks, to fish near- thats as much of a tip as you need!

    Wink very nice view

    High jersey fisherman,
That view was from my bedroom window for 7 years just under the window are the pebbles hence pebbly beach and in amongst the pebbles lives a creature that the fish go crazy for on the high tides. I always caught fish from the garden all manner of fish even mullet. It is a sand shrimp that jumps. About 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch in length. Best ledgering with one or two boom paternoster with lug from the lug beds just on the left sandy bit in the picture, on them rocks are some red cat worms but you need a strong screwdriver to get at them in the little crevasses in the rocks, looks like slate good bass fishing in Belcrout Bay on top of rocks going down hill on left before the end of the road single hook 3 foot trace. 4/6oz weight usually. Good luck mate you can always use feathers plenty of Mackerel around now.
