This month's Sea Angler has an interesting piece by Mike Millman, who stumbled upon some locals catching gilthead bream to 10lb off sandy beaches in Mallorca. I know it's not Ibiza but they're not far apart ... seemed to be using very long rods, fixed spool reel, and some sort of swamp tubeworm that looked a bit like a dog's dick. Mmmmm ... tasty!

big bottom feeders in ibiza
If you fancy some good strong fish. find Mangos beach bar santa eulalia. If you float some bread about 15 ft out, and catch a small mullet. re hook it on a big hook and wack it out on a weght about 50ft. you might catch some big boniotto or silvia. i had one last year 12 kilos

lures and spinners
I live in ibiza and mainly fish from the land. Ive not really much expearence of this type of fishing but when i throw bread into the sea, the small fish attack it in a frenzy.
While watching bigger hunter fish go for the small fish. What would be the best lure for catching the bigger ones
