hi shaun,
your nearer to ...datona beach... on the east coast. i think you,d have to head that way.
hope that huricane didn,t spoil it for you it looked as though it went well north of you. so you probably only got stong winds for a while.
have you not tried fishing for the blue gills and bass in the many lakes around you.
we had one behind our bungalow that was full of them.
i was catching them in floating bread but they will take anything.
the bass take plugs,spinners etc.

Hi Wilfy
Fresh or saltwater? There's some notes I put together on this thread that are worth reading - http://www.worldseafishing.com/forum...ad.php?t=11677.
Pop into the Bass Pro mega store on International Drive, Orlando for some specific advice on locations and guides. But in terms of all round excitement I would suggest targeting either the Largemouth Bass from freshwater or Jacks, Red Drum and small Tarpon from somewhere like Mosquito Lagoon going out towards Port Canaveral. The guide boats will all have more than adequate gear on board.
Best of Luck
Dave

For half the price of a boat trip and a few hours drive there,a pier on reddington beach , just south of clearwater beach, fishing is great.... you could buy all the kit you need for about $35 at walmart or k.mart.... the pier is 1000 ft long with a coral reef so far down.. lots of fish to catch.. some big ones too... it,s more than worth a day out or even a couple of days.. the beaches are great for the kids too. i go there twice a year so i know it,s good.... have a good one...chris,, WRC
