Guernsey Bass Festival - A bar of silver for a Bar of silver
Results of the last open festival 19/6-26/6 are here:
http://bailiwickbassclub.shacknet.nu...lts%202006.htm
I fished it and got one pollack from the shore. Worst fishing I've done for a few months. I'm off on hols to Spain for a couple of weeks now and then I think I'm going to brush up my technique on a few spots for the next open on the 10th-13th August.
Details for next open below. I'm going for the bar of silver but will probably just end up with a nugget of rotten ragworm.

Whilst you were posting the above I was feeding the crabs with just a little tickle of a bite to show for my troubles.
No fishing tonight as I've got a party to go to but I'm looking forward to an all nighter Saturday providing the weather holds out!"Even a fish wouldn't get in trouble if it kept its mouth shut!"

, then more on tuesday... Glutton for punishment I am...
Bassing again at some point when i can, got some live eels but they are so small I reckon a cabou will take them whole!! Will save them for the macky and Longnose tomorrow. As reported on Fishing Guernsey website.
"Here's the Festival results......
The boat section was pretty impressive in fish from those brave enough to go out .... but the strong wind throughout put a lot of people off from entering.
The shore section was well supported ... but not so impressive in catches.
