Strange Fish?
Hi John
Excellent photographs! And they certainly illustrate the potential of that area.
Just a couple of questions though.
What IS that strange Wrasse or Grouper in picture 2? There're just so many different species and it's certainly not one that I recognise.
And I presume the young lady in picture 3 is holding a small Giant Trevally. I've previously heard of fish being caught with this very dark colouration. Or is it, by chance, a Black Jack (Caranx lugubris)? I've only ever caught them off Ascension Island (South Atlantic), but I know they have a worldwide distribution in sub-Tropical and Tropical seas.
Kindest regards
Dave

re fish photo's
The fish is a species of napolean wrasse great fighter but not that good to eat it was returned alive to fight another day.The trevally is a black trevally plenty in the Andaman Islands most we caught jigging or on baits in the night. The island offers so many different fish that are not seen to often and it maks a change from the normJOHN
