    Hi all, Im a bit new to all this sea fishing lark, so was just wondering if anyone can advise, I was thinking of fishing branksome beach sometime this weekend, anybody have some tips, ie, bait, rigs, what species are around , fish at a distance or close to the shore, times ? any constructive advice would be appreciated.

    Are you the chap who fishes off the groynes in the daytime there? If so I had a chat to you while collecting the slipper limpet a couple of weeks ago....
    You might still pick up some Bass, but it will fo quiet shortly due to the cold, its a great spot in summer.

    If there is surf you could still pick up a bass, try slipper or razor.

    Hi Kennedy,

    Yes it was me on those groynes that day, I remember you, I do normally try and fish at night, but that day was the only chance I had away from home, ( wife & kids). you were right I went on Saturday night for a couple of hours had two small bass about 1lb each, If branksome beach goes quite around this time of the year, can you advise on anywhere else to fish between branksome and bournemouth pier ? Im not looking for specimen just something for the table.
