Andy,
Yes Jersey is 11 years 'ahead', but then look at the green lettuce seaweed that now congests St Aubins bay- the waterfront has removed most of the tides ability to remove this from the bay, with the consequential effect.
Some people still dispute this, but certainly all of the older folks I have spoke too dont. Looking at the various levels they have planned, not sure they would stand up to the tidal flow, something they have also 'learnt' over here.

Hi Grant,
Would be good to see if they bother talking to Jersey or not. I would guess not knowing the Guernsey states.
I think that some of the plans are good and would bring benefot for minimal loss of Guernsey character but the Belle Greve bit goes too far IMO
