Shoal fish back in Scarborough!!!
Well finally after weeks of waiting we have finally got some fish back at Scarborough!! Fished there last weekend and hit on both days. Friday got 8 - 5 flounder, 1 plaice, 1 pollack and a codling (to 3oz!!) and on Sunday had my first large show on the fish finder. Thought it was mackeral under us so rigged up some feathers and started boarding a steady stream of coalfish to about 1.5lb ended up with 31 to the boat in around 1 hour. Caught these halfway through the flood at Burniston point in approximately 55ft of water.
Can cofirm that fishing off north side of Cayton bay in around 40ft of water is very good for the flatties at the slack water period maybe only 300-400 yards from shore.
Thank god their back!!
Trevor
