I had an old second hand 6-7 weight fly rod and the worlds worst fly reel, with a mill end fly line the whole lot cost the grand total of under £20 when I first had a bash ! I moved onto a decent rod and better reel, but its only to hold line after all ! And duely lost the lot in a theft so i am in the process of building tack up again at the moment. I asked in the classified section, worth a try ?
I must admit i was using the fly 4-5 times a year on the sea, so I couldn't justify a great expense in comparison to other methods I fish and my lengthening shopping list, and limited expenditure . ( this is quite different from my lottery wish list I may had ! LOL )
Best advice I have is have ago and see if its for you before you spend £300 and it sits in the garage. It is a great way of fishing but is not idea in all areas, it can be a deadly method, but is most defiantly the most satisfying. Especially if you try a few homemade flies and lures and catch, its a primitive hunter gather feeling.Know how to prevent sagging?
Just eat till the wrinkles fill out.
Website dealing with yet another flood we suffered, thanks to all for the assistance.
