Bass lures for rough weather.
Hi all,
Has anyone got any recommendations for lures for rough weather? I only seem to be able to catch bass in sunny and calm weather when spinning. Take the weekend for example. The wind was fully in my face, and the sea was pretty rough. I tried a Dexter Wedge, Redgill and J11 (the latter 2 needed some weight to get them into the wind). Nothing, not a sniff. Meanwhile I was connecting with (small) bass all the time on the leger rod. This appears to be the norm at the moment, during hot weather I do really well spinning, where as spinning in rough weather has given me zero fish in many attempts. Any top lures worth trying? I know it's a matter of matching lures to conditions but I've tried pretty much all the lures I have (only 5 or 6 types). I'll try the "kitchen sink" lure next
Thanks,
Steve.

the fish may be elsewhere in rougher weather - or simply you are not putting the lure in front of them

Maybe the bass are only hunting baitfish during hot, sunny weather and are feeding on crabs/worms disturbed by rough weather when its windy. Just a thought??

in rough weather the water gets coloured and certain lures and colours (such as black) cant be seen.
