What's the chances?
What's the chances of some generous "colonial cousins" getting tackle & outboard spares in the States, & mailing them across to the UK?
I have just been quoted $39.17c for some Suzuki spares, from Browns Point, but they want $36.50c for p&p! thats just a 4.5HP single cylinder head gasket, & 2 piston rings! Put all 3 in a "Jiffy bag" & it would probably cost $3 for postage, the lot only weighs 2-3ozs!
Suzuki UK, wanted the equivalent of $96.10c for the same spares! talk about rip-off Britain!
My son has just returned from a holiday in Florida, where he purchased me some medium & deep diving lures from Bass Pro, $2.99 for the 7cm Berkeley Frenzy, & $4.99 for the 7" deep diving Salty Shads, over here anything up to $15.00 for the same lures!
Why is it that with a far greater standard of living, & much higher earnings, your prices are far less than ours? Is it just our grasping exchequer who hammer us? or do you know something we dont? How about helping out your "poor relations" seeing as we have a "special relationship", come to think of it, I bet George would do it for Tony!

All gleaming & new!
All 8 of them are gleaming & new, 7" long in green & blue mackerel shades, great big bibs on them to take them down 3-5 metres, $4.99c each. The Berkeley "Frenzy's" are only 7cm long but I have had some excellent fun with them this year, & at $2.99c each its a steal!
Dont you just love it when a plan comes together? I wanted him to fetch me back a new 50HP outboard, but he said no!
I reckon if I am paying the air fare I may as well go & get some sun at the same time, sorry Cascars but no deal!
