I suppose at odd times I have subscribed to many of the 'Big Game' magazines and one of the ones I'm currently subscribing to is an Aussie one Bluewater Boats and Sportsfishing. Their latest edition - October/November 2006 - that I've just received commemorates the capture, back on 25th September 1966, of the first 1000lb plus Black Marlin caught of Cairns. It's a bumper edition - 188 pages - and contains some interesting articles and incredible photographs of Black Marlin.

It's just if you know anyone living down there or visiting Australia soon it might be worth asking them to get a copy for you.

Alternatively you could subscribe through their web site - http://www.bluewatermag.com.au/ - although firstly it would be worth confirming that this edition would be included in your subscription. Remember quoted subscription rates are in Australian dollars.

Although it ostensively covers the Pacific its main focus is on Australia and New Zealand.
