Kajak fishing
'Yak fishers seem to be constantly pushing the limits. There're some interesting pictures on this site - http://www.bigwatersedge.com/fotw/source/bwe01.html, from Southern California and Baja (Mexico), covering amongst other things Halibut, a Thresher Shark and smallish Striped Marlin.
