From the paper not me unfortunately!
Anyway I understand the Suzuki Boat Final is here soon so I thought the above may be of interest to any of the competitors.

My catch report from the weekend.

1 Pout
1 Bass
All returned alive, caught on ragworm.
Also went spinning for bass and drew a blank!"Even a fish wouldn't get in trouble if it kept its mouth shut!"

Went to try Lancress for a bass but the beach was covered in lots of the little weed that accumulates on the line but I eventually found a clear spot between the rocks.
Anyway flung out a couple of rods one with just worm and the other with worm and scallop frills. Nothing as usual until high water exactly and got one small bite which turned into a 3-4lb bass (didn't weigh it). It was quite a thin fish which had some damage behind the head which looked like it had got caught in nets at some point as all the scales were missing but the wound had healed. Would have put it back but I figured it would look better on my plate!
No more bites and Pembroke/Lancress high water fishing lives up to its usual standards bites at high tide exactly and nowt more!!"Even a fish wouldn't get in trouble if it kept its mouth shut!"
