Not me wrong Island. I don't use lugworm as a bait and don't know anyone else that does on the island. Do you find they work better than rag? and do the bream take them?

Haven't used whites in a long time, hard to find them really with only a few spots that I know of and you need a really low tide as well.
rarely use lug but I was going to get some for the next round of the hunt Guern211 to see if it gives me an edge, they seen to be favoured by the Red Mullet over rag.see www.GBASS.co.uk for Guernsey Bass Anglers Sportfishing Society Information

White Cat?
Just checked out that there are some White-Cat out at St Aubins fort. Also if you take a sturdy screwdriver in the rocks out there are some red worms not sure if they are red cat though? but the bass take them in Belcroute Bay, need to be same day fresh though.

how do you keep your lug and how long do they keep for? I guess only a few days, can you make them last a week?

Lug worm
I dig them down the beach and put them in wet sand and then at high tide i go and get about 2-5 litres of sea water and they keep for a week if you change the water every 2 days.
