Head for Hoylake station, and turn off the roundabout, and head down Stanley Rd (which brings you to a dead end...Red Rocks)...turn right off Stanley Rd on to Beach rd,and park at the end.Walk straight out,and it is a long walk
fish from 3 hours before high on tides under 27ft otherwise it floods all the way back....it`s a shallow beach for the most part and the water races in on bigger tides. After 10 mins walking out,you will see clay scars on the beach...this is the area to fish, with large blow lug baits for bass, which are mostly schoolies, but there`s enough fish around 5lb/7lb to make it interesting. You need an onshore breeze to put some surf up,otherwise it can be poor, even with a surf it`s a hit n miss mark. The main feeding time appears to be when you`re fishing on to the clay scars.Until the tide reaches them, you will be moving fairly constantly,as the beach is very shallow. There`s shed loads of big blow lug all over the beach,so you can easily dig fresh bait whilst fishing.
