    Rays....

    help, my hubby has just presented me with a thorn back ray.
    well I was just washing it off in the sink and the thing is twitching.. so is this thing alive or are its nerves twitching?

    hmmmmm mite be still alive, its nurves should only be twithing for up to about half an hour after it was killed, good blow to the back of the head behind the eyes should finish it off,

    i think its nerves.i gutted mine out at sea a few years ago,also cut wings off!when i got home i gave the woman next door a couple,next thing she screamed as the wing started to twitch and curl!

    thank you for the replys. i shoved it in the fridge and left it till this evening. its dead now cut up and skinned and i'm going to have a bit for my dinner (feeling brave i have never tried anything like this before)

    sorry , bit late , but i would say it was still barely alive . i have had a small eye ray in my sink , ready for de-winging . fill the sink up with cold water , and it started to move around in the sink , so had to take it out and gave it a whack between the eyes .
