Namibia Current Form.????
Am getting very conflicting reports about the current catch's,from the shore/surf venues in the area.Anyone been out this season, from beginning of October to present.
Whats the opinion of you guys out there of the current state of the fishing,Im sure there is among you, regular visitors, who intend heading out this season again.
What you been hearing, after last year's mid season warm water and few fish for some parties, many of who said they will never go back am really interested in your current opinions. We intend to go back in mid february,so current form hardly counts but could be a pionter in the right direction.
And before anyone starts on again about the last war of words on the guides/agents arguement thats not what Im asking about.
Views on the area and current news are all very welcome please.

Namibia
Just returned fishing rubbish you can also check out the following web site report
http://www.extremefish.co.uk/diary.html
Waste of time effort and money. Used a top guide but if the fish / sharks not there then doesnt matter how good the guide is supposed to be. Same story all over. Stopped at tackle shop and was told fishing is not what it was.
Never again.

As the author of the aforementioned diary I would add......
Firstly the diary isn't finished yet and over the course of the holiday both the weather and the fishing improved. We still ended with double figure numbers of Bronzies with none below 100lb's and Mark had a 41lb Kob which absolutely made his holiday.
We have all been before and deliberately went out of season to avoid the crowds of anglers that have been previously experienced by myself and others. It was a gamble but one I considered carefully and on balance decided was worth it.
Undoubtedly anybody travelling that far would of course be disappointed if the fishing didn't live up to their expectations but for me it did. And of course it's not just the fishing that 'makes' the holiday.
Nothing is guaranteed in fishing and the weather can made things difficult for any party but as you must book/plan in advance then this is out of everybodies control.
Personally I still think it is worth the trip and there remains no better place to catch a monster fish without the expense of a charter boat to be considered.
When I have enough time I will update the site further but in the meantime if anybody wishes to e-mail me for feedback then feel free to do so from the link at my site http://www.extremefish.co.uk
And yes I'll be doing all I can to return next year.

Namibia November 2006
Just returned from a great trip, and can't wait until I can come down there again.
As mentioned before, the weather can do its best to ruin a fishing trip, and I must
say it tried its best. Rough seas and lots of white water.
But all I can say is: Super great fishing, nice size bronzies (50-120 Kg) and
spotties up to 30 kg.
Not as many as we hoped for, But isn't it always like that.
But we got what we came for. Sharks that tried to rip our arms from our bodies.
Many thanks to Terence Clark, for a big page in our book of memories.

I am off to Namibia at the end of January with my two brothers. Really looking forward to it. Hope there will be a few bronzies and cob there for us to target.
