Hi all!
Just been down to Tywyn for a go on the big Spring tide. News is that the whiting are yet to show and the place is crawling with dogfish! Doggers on very short-range baits intended for turbot and other flatties. Doggers on tiny lug baits wanged over the horizon looking for dabs etc. Doggers on whole squid 6/0 offerings (at various ranges). Doggers on all other combinations! But it can't be long for better things as the whiting and odd codling are showing along the N Wales coast already.
Cheers - JohnWelsh Shore Species 2009: 40; 2011 onwards, I'm going to chill out more LOL!
