Fished out from Dunbar last Wednesday. Thousands of birds working the surface so it was no surprise that mackerel were everywhere. Cod were fairly consistent, took about 8 in 3 hours though all were pretty small, (nothing over 1.5kilos), didn't really try for the pollack but had a couple to 3 kilos + 1 ling of about 2. Everything caught on daylight lures, everything bar a few mackerel returned.

Don't know about anyone taking charters at the moment, I'm going to Dunbar tomorrow so I'll ask then. There are skippers further down the coast at Burnmouth, Eyemouth and Berwick.

Didn't see any boats chartering out of Dunbar but I did bump into Davy Thompson the skipper of "ON A PROMISE", who fishes out of Berwick-upon-Tweed. I know people who fish with him and rate him highly. His numbers are, Home: 01289 302749 and Mobile: 07767 484172.
