Using a Fly fishing rod for spinners??
is it possible to use a fly rod and reel and put a small spinner on the end?
would it be worth i or should i stick to light rods and fixed reels??

you will hardly be able to retrieve the spinner fast enough to get it to spin anyways.

There are a range of spinners, small ones, designed for catching Trout on a Fly rod that would work, your talking thumb nail size, But I would have thought you would be better off with a Sparkler, Fry pattern or similar, the flowing action is more appealing to predatory fish.

caught a bass on a fly in an estuary. only small. youll also catch pollock, scad garfish and other smaller species on the fly.
caught the bass on a snake fly which i also use for salmon. the main body is very silvery and shiny and has black and blue fur coming offf the top of the fly. very attractive in the water.TOP QUALITY,2ND HAND TACKLE:

Fly on a spinning rod
Certainly there are tiny spinners used in fly fishing, fly spoons I think they're
called.
I had the reverse problem when I tried to catch a large mullet at Stoke Gabriel tidal millpool. I couldn't get a touch when spinning with small spinners on a light spinning rod. I had a few flies in my bag and tied one on and added a couple of small splitshot for casting weight. No mullet but about a dozen small bass (I mean small).
You never know until you try.
