bait
i was on south sheilds peir yesterday and it was really wondy i went to the end and was fishing with macky as bait but my bag flew away that was holding them and flys started swarming the thing now will the affect the bait cos aof maggots and stuff any replies or answeres despritley wanted

Seriously Desy your bait should be only good for one session anyway so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Lots of people will say that your bait has to be absolutely fresh but I've had fish on all sorts of manky old rubbish.

right well im using fish i caight on my boat fishing trip i just gut it then freeze it till i need it

Why gut it? Use a big hooked pennel rig (see blue box on left) and fish the head and guts - never know - could pick up a nice Bass
