Small tides are prefered,as much of the coastline from Bridlington in the north,to Spurn in the south, has steep clay cliffs, and you will get cut off even in mid range tides. The deeper water, and better fishing is mainly from the beaches south of Withernsea, especially in winter, though the tidal run can be strong and weed is a prob on the southern marks.
