    South Africa - Plettenberg Bay

I am looking to go to Plettenberg Bay in March. Does anyone know anything about the fishing options there at that time? Any information would be much appreciated

    Thanks
    Mike

At that time of the year fishing will still be very productive. It depends on what kind of fishing you are going to do. The best advice would be to visit the local fishing shops for advice. They allways know where and when the fish will bite. You can visit the lagoon for Grunter using prawn or Kob using livebait. At Robberg(cape) you can try your luck with livebait on a float for Garrick. If you ca find a nice gulley in the surf whith a sandbar you can try your luck with prawn, bloodworm or squid for steenbras. If youre desperate to catch something quikly(livebait) go down to the rocks with a small rod and small hooks. Bottomfish some redbait in the foam for smaller species like blacktail and strepies(white fish whith orange stripes).

I do not know what you know about SA fishing, therefore I am giving beginners advice. For better advice go to www.outdoorpages.com and visit the tackle shops when you get there.

    Goodluck
