Portmuck & Belfast Lough - Report
Morning Guys,
my bro, nephew and I took a trip yesterday - Sat 06 Aug - to Portmuck. High tide was at noon and the weather conditions were sunny spells with a slight south-westerly.
My bro got one small coalfish, my nephew got one small wrasse and I Blanked!!!!
Not a good session and not a mackerel in sight - I had went out and bought two new strips of feathers especially for this trip!!!!
We decided to head for Carrickfergus to catch the dropping tide in Belfast Lough. We tried our luck from a small pier on the Northside of Carrickfergus Castle - guess what..... we all blanked!!!!!
Not a good day.
There was a lot of sun and it was quite warm , maybe this had something to do with the lack of fish but we were using a good variety of baits - rag, squid, whole prawn, feathers and some coalfish strips.
Til next time......
GG
