East/South East Meet 24 or 31 March.
I'm posting a new thread as the old East Coast meet thread is getting a bit cluttered.
I don't mind helping to organise another meet and I think it would be a good idea to include the South East forum so more of us Essex boys can come too.
I suggest Felixstowe. We could all meet in the Viewpoint Car Park ( where the burger van is!!) and disperse from there to Landguard or where ever.
Suggest either 24 March ( High Water 1430-ish ) or 31 March ( High Water 1130-ish BST, mind).
Steve/Cascars - can you sort out where to post thread and sticky etc.?

good advantage is car parking around that area as you can use nature reserve or park at languard to access sea side but the viewing area can get busy on a sat. if we have more than aldborough meet then it will be better fishing from the butts upwards to the old pier to enable us all to have a good bit of space parking in nature reserve would cover us all then , its only a little treck to the burger van and think of the exercise, the beach in this area is shingle and sand so wil tone ya calf muscles lol, either way there aint that many snags apart from in the groins area about 50 yards out, any one wants derections if this is the venue then i can help with this, perhaps we can persuade the burger van to locate on beach for us

Yeah fair point. I was just suggesting we all meet in the Viewpoint car park for a chat first, then drive/walk to where ever people want to fish.
At Aldeburgh, there was no opportunity for everyone to get together and put faces to names. And that's not a criticism, it's just the way it happened.
Some of us more mature anglers aren't up to walking far, either!!

felixstowe town centre have disability buggies for ya old farts
, being so early viewing area would be a possible or as i said the nature reserve car park accepts atleast 100 cars and youve got direct access to the butts and upto the pier with concrete walk way( subject to tides ), plus car park has a tap to wash ya bits in
better rephrase that your fishing gear and also toilets available , where ever we go lets all have a hand in plannin and it should take pressure off just one person arranging it, set a date between all of us and go from there we aint gonna be able to please everyone so majority set dates should be fair,, perhaps having one central person to have a mobile no as contact for the day may help so any late arrivals or problems there is a central point of contact
